Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 206 has granted bail for former opposition senator Leila De Lima, one of former President Rodrigo Duterte’s most vocal critics, after staying in prison for almost seven years. In a 69-page resolution published on November 13, Judge Gener Gito granted the motion for reconsideration of De Lima and four co-accused to grant bail in her third and final case laid against her, which primarily stemmed from allegations that she conspired with convicted drug inmates of New Bilibid Prison to fund her 2016 senatorial campaign.
