Congress is adjourned sine die from June 3 to July 27, 2026. Prior to adjournment, the House of Representatives consolidated bills for measures related to espionage law amendments and cybersecurity policies, while the Senate formally elected Senator Sherwin Gatchalian as Senate President.
Executive Summary
Congress adjourned on June 3, 2026 and will remain adjourned until the beginning of its Second Regular Session on July 27. Most of the measures PSA Intelligence is tracking still remain at the committee level in both chambers of Congress.
Prior to adjourning, the House of Representatives passed consolidated bills for two separate measures: the New Anti-Espionage Act, and a combined bill for the Cybersecurity and Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Acts. These consolidated bills will take the place of other bills previously filed and will be the ones primarily considered for further deliberations.
