Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) Day 2 Protest - July 1, 2026

The Iglesia ni Cristo rally continues at the People Power Monument in Quezon City with up to 100,000 attendees. Traffic disruptions are expected as the rally may extend until Friday, July 3.

Executive Summary:

  • Day 2 of the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) rally continues today, July 1, in the vicinity of the People Power Monument along EDSA White Plains in Quezon City. Up to 100,000 INC members are expected to convene today. The Quezon City Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) issued the permit for the second day of the INC rally last night, June 30.
  • The Day 1 rally yesterday, June 30, reached around 15,000 attendees, including some Duterte-aligned political figures such as Senator Allan Peter Cayetano, Senator Imee Marcos, Congressman Leandro Leviste, former Congressman Mike Defensor, former Press Secretary Trixie Angeles, and Atty. Jimmy Bondoc. Minor altercations between police and protesters also occurred, primarily arising from crowd-control measures, but these were managed by the police force.
  • Reports disclosed that the rally in the area may continue until Friday, July 3. The religious group reportedly applied for a 4-day rally permit, but the Quezon City DPOS has only approved the second day rally “for now.” PSA Intelligence analysts note the possibility of having a permit approved overnight, as what transpired in the Day 2 permit approval.
