  • Around 12,000 members of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) gathered today, June 30, 2026 at the EDSA People Power Monument to show support for Senator Rodante Marcoleta, who is possibly facing plunder charges over his alleged undisclosed campaign funds. Reports note that protest plans appear to have been made in a short-notice, with announcements only made on the night of June 29.
  • Some Duterte-leaning supporters also joined the protest. To date, some Duterte-leaning bloggers and influencers are calling for their followers to join the INC rallies today.
  • The unannounced protest caused major travel disruptions along the cities of Quezon, Pasig, Mandaluyong, and San Juan. Portions of EDSA northbound and southbound lanes were closed to traffic due to the number of protesters and bus barricades installed by the INC members along EDSA-White Plains Avenue, Quezon City.
