A brief shootout ensued on the second floor of the Senate building in Pasay City between what appeared to be Senator Dela Rosa's security team and arresting officers, which included members of the police, military, and Senate security. Several senators, including Senator Dela Rosa, and media personnel were inside the premises when the shootout occurred. There are currently no reports of casualties from the ensuing firefight.
