In April 2026, PSA Intelligence recorded a total of 24 crimes involving businesspersons and establishments. Robbery remained the most prevalent crime during the period, with eight incidents recorded, underscoring the continued threat posed by opportunistic and organized criminal groups in business operations.

In addition to robbery incidents, five burglary cases and four murder incidents were also recorded during the month.

Most of these incidents occurred in the National Capital Region (NCR) and the Calabarzon Region.

Meanwhile, a total of 36 smuggling and counterfeit-related incidents were reported nationwide in April 2026. The reported illegal shipments and counterfeit products that entered the country and were intercepted this month amounted to PHP 2.4 billion (USD 38.4 million).
