  • On Sunday, September 21, 2025 marks the 53rd anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law in the Philippines. PSA expects a large turnout of protesters on this day, with three big rallies taking place at EDSA People Power Monument in Quezon City; Luneta Park in Manila City; and Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila City. The demonstrations are expected to focus on the alleged anomalies of flood control projects and commemoration of the declaration of Martial Law in 1972. 
  • PSA notes that these protests will most likely impact ease of travel across Metro Manila, especially as the rallies may cause some build-up of traffic. Traffic congestion is anticipated in the areas of Luneta Park and Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila City and EDSA People Power Monument in Quezon City. Clients are advised to reconsider their travel plans or allot 3 to 4 hours of extra travel time when leaving for their destinations.
