PSA recorded 15 Communist insurgency-related violent incidents in August 2025, marking a slight increase from the 12 incidents reported in the previous month. All of the recorded violent incidents were armed encounters between government troops and rebels, which occurred in parts of Central and Southern Luzon particularly in Mimaropa, Western and Eastern Visayas, as well as Northern Mindanao and the Bangsamoro region.
The recorded armed clashes resulted in the deaths of five soldiers and 15 rebels. Meanwhile, six troops incurred injuries from these incidents.
