In April 2024, PSA Intelligence recorded 21 Communist Insurgency-related violent incidents.
There were 21 Communist insurgency violent incidents in April 2024. The figure is eight incidents more than the number of violent attacks reported in the previous month.
For the period, analysts note that Communist-related violent attacks were not concentrated in one region alone but were carried out in different areas in the country.
Out of the 21 violent incidents recorded in April, most of the incidents were recorded in Visayas, with eight incidents. Seven incidents were reported in Luzon (four in Bicol and three in North/Central Luzon) while Mindanao recorded six incidents (four in Caraga and two in Northern Mindanao).
