Based on PSA Consultancy data, there are 40 Communist insurgency violent incidents in the month of December 2020. The figure is five incidents less than the 45 violent incidents reported in the previous month.

PSA Consultancy notes that the Communist violent incidents slightly decreased this month. Although there was no holiday ceasefire and the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) celebrated their 52nd Anniversary on December 26, the number of violent incidents in December 2020 was five incidents less than the 45 incidents reported in the previous month. As usual, the Communist violent attacks were not concentrated in one region alone but were scattered all throughout the country. Out of the 40 violent incidents recorded in December, more than half of the incidents took place in Mindanao, accounting for 21 incidents, while 11 occurred in Visayas, and eight incidents in Luzon. Most of the NPA activities were typical in nature.
